Hello, Is Anybody There?

So…its been 8 months. My blog took a massive back seat for a while. Life has been crazy busy, and its been a mixture of bad and good.

The first good news…in the 8 months I’ve been gone, I met an amazing guy, and we got engaged! Life has been amazing for the most part over the last 8 months.

There has been a few little hiccups with mental health stuff, but i’ll save you that story!

The majority of the pictures above are from our engagement shoot, done by CAJ Media.

You Can Find Him Here!

We met up at Rickmansworth Aquadrome, and the time passed so quickly. Neither of us are particularly great at posing for pictures, so Charlie and Mim just worked around us being all “Lovey Dovey” towards each other.

He also made us an amazing video, which went down a storm with my friends and family!

You Can Find That Here!

So I reckon its about time to jump back onto the blogging wagon. Keep your eyes peeled over the next few days for halloween themed posts!

I’ll Take That As A Compliment!

So, Remember me?

It’s been a while since I have blogged as I have been working like a crazy person in my “Real Life” job.

But I’m back with a post about how we can turn negative comments into a compliment. We’ve all  had our fair share of people saying “You shouldn’t be wearing that” or “That doesn’t look good” but now is the time for us to change around that negative and make it a positive!

Simply Be Printed Wrap Jumpsuit – £29.00

First up, patterns and prints. Personally I have seen SO many women in patterns or prints that look amazing, so I would go for this amazing patterned jumpsuit. Paired with some gladiator style sandals and a denim jacket in the summer would look fab!

Simply Yours Bikini Set – £35.00

This is a kind of 2 in 1. A bikini and horizontal stripes! Both seem to be a big No-No if you are a plus size woman, and I say “break the rules” and invest in this killer high waisted striped bikini set. The high waisted bottoms provide enough coverage so there’ll be no chance of showing off your bum!

Simply Be Crop Top – £12.80 (in the sale!)

Dare to bare and embrace your curves with this simple high neck crop top! Team it with a high waisted midi skirt, or a pair of high waisted jeans or trousers! Add a pair of ankle boots and leather jacket and you’ve got a remarkably fashionable outfit that looks effortlessly cool.

midi skirt

Sprinkle of Glitter Netted Skirt – £48.00

“You shouldn’t show off your legs”…Well, we’ve all heard this once in our lifetime right? Well, this midi skirt from the Sprinkle of Glitter range at Simply Be is going to change your mind. Midi skirts are a fabulous choice if your aren’t the most confident about your legs but want to start being a bit more adventurous. The netting underneath the skirt add fullness which will balance out your figure if you are bigger busted/small hipped.

Please check out this post from Simply Be for more ways to turn a negative comment into a compliment! Click Here

So in conclusion, we should all start wearing whatever we please and not let society tell us what we should and shouldn’t wear.

Remember, the best thing a woman can wear is her confidence! Embrace your own style and uniqueness!

Birthday Babes & OOTD

Hi Lovelies!

Its been a while…again! But I’m back with a new post with some lovely pictures from Mookie’s birthday!

Mookie from and her daughter Liv-Annie had a joint party to celebrate their 40th and 18th birthdays. It was held at a lovely country pub in Guildford, and the garden had been decorated with lanterns and vases.

We had planned to take some outfit pictures, but we didn’t manage any serious ones!

Me and the beautiful Mookie. This lady has been such an amazing friend to me, and has really improved my self confidence. She’s a true superstar!

Me, Becky & Tanya. This was only the second time I have met these lovely ladies, but it didn’t feel awkward, at least for me!

Present Time! There were both giggles and tears but it was lovely to see Mookie and Liv-Annie both be so happy and spoilt!

So, on to what I wore! I wanted to be comfortable yet still look put together, so I went with a aztec print playsuit from Asda, some flat black ankle boots and black tights.

The playsuit has a cut out detail on the back, which I think would look a lot better without a bra poking through the back! Unfortunately I didn’t think to put a camisole on underneath so I just styled it out!

I had an amazing day, and made some new friends too, so thats a bonus! Please check out all the gorgeous blogger babes on the links above!

Plus Size Style on a Budget Ft Mookie!

Hi Lovelies!

Lots of you know Mookie, from, and how great some of her ideas are. She came up with this one! Plus Size Style on a Budget. Our challenge was to find an outfit for £20 or under, and then style it!
I will admit, I struggled with it. but in the end I found a couple of bits I loved, and that will be staples in my wardrobe for the foreseeable future.

Dress – Primark – £5.00

Coat – Matalan – £12.00

The belt, leggings and shoes I already owned so I feel like I cheated a little bit. The coat I bought is beautiful! The quality is lovely, and it hangs perfectly, boyfriend style without swamping my figure.

Heres the dress without the coat, it has really thin straps, so ordinarily I would wear it with a cardigan or a kimono over the top, so my bra straps didn’t show.

Me and the gorgeous Mookie. Find out more about her outfit by clicking here.

We had such a great time posing and taking these pictures. I had never been properly photographed before, so I look a bit uncomfortable in the pictures. I usually take my outfit photos with my iPhone in a mirror!

We are hoping to do these every other month, and hopefully we can get some other bloggers involved too!

Hope you enjoyed seeing our style on a budget!

Strawberry Fields

Hi Lovelies!

Warning – This will be a picture heavy post 🙂

Last weekend me and my mama travelled up to Great Yarmouth to spend some time with my family and to go strawberry picking. The weekend turned out to be a bit of a disaster! The Pick Your Own farm we had planned to go to was shut due to bad weather, so we ended up travelling to Rackheath to a place called White House Farm. The whole place was lovely, and a blogger/photographers paradise. Cute little chalk signs, quirky designs on the walls and animals roaming free.

We went with my 2 cousins, Michael and Marie, and we took Michael’s children along with us too. The weather was a bit wet and miserable, but it didn’t stop us having fun, and it didn’t stop me from getting some lovely pictures.

The farm had some really quirky pieces, such as the bike park, which actually had 2 bikes hanging on the wall. All of the flowers and plants were planted in bath tubs, sinks and other household objects, and it really felt like somewhere ‘fashionable” that would be situated in somewhere like Soho, or Camden Market.
All of the fruit picking sections had cute chalkboard style signs and the sign on the wall is written in such an informal way that is comes across as super friendly and inviting.

The farm also had a farm shop, which had the most amazing looking cakes, and tables made of recycled stable doors. I resisted the cakes, although they looked incredible they were pretty overpriced. I’ve included a couple of sneaky pictures I snapped of my cousins, as I really love candid photos that capture the moment.

Some more experimental and sneak photos! My mum just happened to have a handful of strawberries when I realised that her holding them like she is in the picture could look really beautiful, so I immediately made her stop and hold them so I could snap a picture. The flower is a Strawberry Plant flower, which is edited to make the bigger flower look sharper. I use Instagram to edit all my pictures. The bottom right picture is Michael and his son, again, it was a sneaky picture that they had no idea I took!

Me & My Lovely Cousin Marie

Onto my outfit for the day. It wasn’t incredibly practical, but I wanted to look nice. I picked my usual high waisted skinny jeans from Matalan, and a grey top which was kindly gifted to my by Mookie ( Over the top I wore my new lilac boyfriend coat from Matalan also, which was only £12 in the sale! On my feet I wore a pair of flat ankle boots from BHS.

I think we should end this blog post with an arty shopping basket shot…I got some funny looks and a few giggles from my little cousins when they saw me arranging the items I was buying. The farm shop was pretty expensive, so I just got the strawberries we had picked, a can of San Pellegrino Lemonade and my mum got a Posh Pop Pear & Elderflower cordial.

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Hi Lovelies!

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Bon Marché to take part in a blogger challenge. I was paired up with Lisa from who had to pick an outfit for me, and I picked an outfit for her.

Ann Harvey Asymmetric Hem Top – £32.00

Button Hem Leggings – £10.00

The top she picked of me was lovely and was amazing quality. The material was thick and heavy so the top hung beautifully. however, it’s not something I would usually pick for myself, as I tend to like tops/dresses with a fitted waist as I find them more flattering.

The leggings are incredible! I tend to find that most leggings go see-through and a bit baggy after a few hours wear. These didn’t! They stayed fitted and didn’t go see-through across my bum and thighs like normal leggings. I wish I had picked a smaller size though, as these were a tad too big on me! I would definitely purchase basic black leggings from Bon Marché again though!

Onto the exciting part…Jewellery!

Ann Harvey Waterfall Crystal Necklace – £15.00

This necklace was also something I wouldn’t pick for myself but it looked lovely with this outfit, and I can see it looking nice with quite a few different outfits too. It was heavy to wear at first, but once I got used to it I didn’t really notice it. This also has an extender chain on it, so it can be worn a few inches shorter than I had it.

Flower Stretch Bracelet – £12.00

I am in love…this is SO my style. Floral and Coral..yes please! This bracelet will be a feature in a lot of my outfits as it adds a nice pop of colour, especially as I tend to always wear black, grey and navy!

Overall I’m happy with the outfit chosen, and I’m looking forward to seeing Lisa in her outfit! Fingers crossed that she liked it!

Toodles! xoxo ❤
