Miller&Carter & Outfit Of The Night

Hi Lovelies!

Todays post is going to be a little round up of my Dad’s birthday meal, with an outfit post mixed in. We went for steak at Miller & Carter in Wheathampstead and it was incredible! I have never had such good food at a restaurant, and thats saying something as I am pretty fussy.

Pulled Pork BBQ Burger and Fries…with raw broccoli in the coleslaw..YUM!

I chose to have the burger, as I had saved my Slimming World syn allowance for the day so I could have a dinner that I knew I would really enjoy.

Chateaubriand with Onion Loaf, Beef Dripping sauce and tomato.

My parents shared the Chateaubriand….oh my goodness! I tried a bit and it was like butter. So full of flavour and so soft.

Me & My Parents. I love this picture, we were posing but something made us giggle and this was the end result 🙂

My Ma & Pa ❤

Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream

Oh…My…God. This was like a chocolate hug. There is no other way to describe it other than chocolate heaven.

I think Pa might have had a touch too much vino? 😛

Onto my makeup and outfit for the night. I wanted to look glam and put together but not too done up, as it was a family dinner.

  • Soap & Glory Kick Ass Powder
  • MAC Pro Longwear Concealer – NW20

Boohoo Plus Wish List

Hi Lovelies!

Guess who’s back again! Thanks to a little bit of inspiration from a friend earlier, I’m writing yet another wish list. I want to total refresh my wardrobe for summer. Since I have lost some weight I have become a bit more experimental with clothes and have started wearing what I want to, rather than what I have to just because it fits.

So this time I have put together a wish list from Boohoo Plus, which currently has some amazing pieces in, and they are all pretty good value.

First up are a couple of playsuits, which are versatile for all seasons, given the unpredictable British weather! I would wear either of these with tights or bare legs, and a pair of ankle boots/converse.

Lilly Grid Print Playsuit – £25.00

Natalia Long Sleeve Wrap Playsuit – £25.00

Next up are a couple of dresses & a skirt. I do have a bit of an obsession with paisley print at the moment, as it is so flattering and I just adore the way it looks!

Katie Paisley Swing Dress – £18.00

Edie Cap Sleeve Swing Dress – £18.00

Daisy Gingham A Line Mini Skirt – £10.00

Last but certainly not least, we have tops. A couple of casual ones, and one that would be perfect for a night out!

Esther Gypsy Off The Shoulder Top – £14.00

Lace Trim Long Sleeve Tee – £14.00

May Paisley Frill Sleeve Top – £15.00

* This top would be gorgeous for a night out, styled as it is in the picture with white skinny jeans, or styled with a basic pair of black high waisted skinny leg trousers and some basic black heels.

So that concludes my Boohoo Plus wish list. There are some absolutely gems to be found lately online, which makes a nice change for me! Hope you enjoyed!

Missguided Wish List

Hi Lovelies!

I appear to have to have my blogging mojo back, so this is a little post about items I have found, and fallen in love with from Missguided.

Grid Print Crop Top – £12.00

Grid Print Midi Skirt – £20.00

Slinky Wrap Dress in Khaki – £30.00

Knot Front Drape Top – £20.00

* I hate the way they have styled this! I think this top would look 10x better styled with jeans or some high waisted trousers.

Light Grey Sleeveless Jacket – £40.00

These clothing pieces are all pieces that could be worn in various different styles. either casual or smart. I do prefer to buy more basic pieces without too much pattern as they are easier to style, and easier to mix and match.

Embroidered Tassel Ankle Boots – £30.00

Spur Strap Cowboy Boot – £30.00

I practically live in ankle boots as they are so comfy, and go with pretty much any outfit. I love both pairs above, and feel like they are good basics, but with a cute/stylish twist.

That wraps up this wish list. Up next will be a Boohoo Plus wish list!

Style For Stroke

Hi Lovelies!

Todays post is going to be a little different. This post is about the new Style For Stroke collection that BooHoo will be officially launching on Wednesday 13th May.

The collection is available at and they retail at £10.00 for a Tee or £12.00 for the hoodie, which is great value.

Here is the beautiful Sarah modelling one of the tee’s!

But onto the main point of this post. In 2009 Sarah Scott had a stroke. You may have seen her if you watched The Undateables or you may have seen her and her mum Joanie on various daytime TV shows. I have known Joanie since college and can still remember the day she received the phone call to tell her about Sarah.

Here is a direct quote from Sarah explaining exactly what happened :

Sarah Scott – 24

I was at school in Hertfordshire, just about to take my A levels when I had a stroke. I was reading aloud in class when suddenly I couldn’t speak. I had pins and needles in my arm and leg and I felt sick. I didn’t actually think I’d had a stroke, I didn’t realise at that time that it could happen to younger people. That was in 2009. I was in hospital and rehab for 5 months, I had to learn to swallow, walk, dress myself. Unfortunately I have been left with an invisible disability.

I have aphasia. About one in three people who have a stroke have this condition and it affects your speech, reading and writing, understanding money and numbers. I’m still the same inside, but expressing myself is hard. My mum is helping me to write this. I’m having speech therapy, which helps, and I run a monthly Stroke Association support group for young people who’ve had a stroke. I recorded some You Tube videos to show how my rehab was going and they have had over a million views!

Stroke has changed my life. I didn’t go to Uni, I took up Riding for The Disabled and I ride horses and do dressage (I had never ridden a horse before!) I love to go to the gym and cinema and go shopping. I really love fashion – so being involved in Style for Stroke is brilliant, to raise awareness of stroke and to show that the image of someone who has suffered a stroke might not be what you think.

Sarah x

Sarah should be an inspiration to many young stroke sufferers, as she has shown that a stroke doesn’t put a stop to you living a normal full life. She has conquered the battles that having aphasia presented, and the last time I saw her, which was about 6 months ago, we were able to hold a proper conversation.

Sarah’s mum Joanie has been uploading videos of Sarah’s progress on her YouTube channel which you can visit here :

The collection is lovely, and I have picked my top 2 that I will be purchasing on payday!

Style For Stroke Zoella Slogan Tee – £10.00

Style For Stroke Famous Last Words Tee – £10.00

Please check out this collection,as it is for a fabulous cause and tweet me pictures @lisawonderlandd if you buy anything!

A Little Update.

Hi Lovelies,

Cor! 2 posts in one day. Look at me go!

I thought I should post a little life update on here, as I don’t really give much away with my fashion posts. I realised around Christmas time that I wasn’t happy with how I was looking, I had put on a lot of weight and it was affecting my health. So I decided to join Slimming World with my mum, as she has seen great results from it without having to miss out on things she likes!

Its a bit of a rubbish picture, but this is me the day I joined Slimming World. I don’t have anyone else to take pictures for me so I have to use my mirror. I felt frumpy, and heavy and it was affecting my joints.

I officially joined Slimming World on the 29th December, and since then I have lost 1st 1lb. I can already see a difference in myself, some dresses that didn’t quite fit before now look lovely, well, in my opinion!

This is me now, 15lbs lighter and 15 million times happier! I still have about 3-4st until i get to my target weight, but I’m taking it slowly, as that way the weight will stay off.

Again, sorry for the awful picture quality, I’m currently taking them on my iPhone.

Have any of you had good or bad experiences with Slimming World? Let me know in the comments below! 🙂

What I Would Have Spent – Topshop

Hi Lovelies!

So after seeing some of the girls discussing what they would have spent in Topshop on one of the PS Blogger groups, I decided to have a look for myself, as I never look because they don’t do my size! I found some really lovely pieces for summer, which I wish were available in a size 20!

Grid Print Midi Skirt – £55.00

First up is this beautiful grid print skirt, which is actually in the petite section. I think it would look lovely with a crop top and some sandals, which you will find below!

Cropped Cami – £6.00

The crop top I mentioned above…This is a lovely colour, and I like that it is strappy so it would look quite delicate and girly. At my current size I wouldn’t dream of wearing a crop top, nothing against any plus size woman who would, but my stomach is my problem area and I don’t want to highlight it!

Ohio Geek Sandals – £28.00

A pair of stylish, functional black sandals…need I say more?

MOTO Tencel Wrap Playsuit – £28.00

Now this, I am in love. Anything with a wrap front suits me as I am pretty busty, and i love the cut and colour of this playsuit, it would look gorgeous paired with a leather jackets, some sandals or even a pair of beaten up ankle boots.

Striped Cut Out Midi Dress – £35.00

I’m a lover of stripes, even though we are always told that horizontal stripes look bad, and this dress is lovely! It has a subtle cut out detail on the rib area, which doesn’t show off too much flesh, so could even look nice with my fat back! Again, this would look amazing paired with some sandals and a leather jacket.

Actor Stud Ankle Boots – £79.00

Last but not least, a pair of fantastic ankle boots, they are smart, yet casual/grungy, and I would wear these with absolutely everything. I know many people may not include shoes, as they can be pretty universal, but I have wide feet and can’t even get my toes into Topshop shoes!

Total I would have spent = £231.00….now if only Topshop would consider a plus size range…

Leave below in the comments any items from Topshop that you have spotted and loved!
